"Royal London In Context" named NATJA's best in historical travel!

When the North American Travel Journalists Association's (NATJA) announced the winners of its annual awards for the best travel writing for 2004, the first prize for historical travel was given to "Royal London In Context - The Independent Traveler's Guide to Royal London" by Robert S. Wayne. Published in April 2004, "Royal London In Context" is the second in the cutting-edge Europe In Context travel series. The first book in the series, Venice in Context (3/03), won three major awards, including PMA's Benjamin Franklin award and one from Foreword magazine.

"Royal London In Context" combines a written guide, enhanced with beautiful color photographs and two audio CDs providing twelve different audio tours which allows travelers the freedom to go at their own pace as they explore the heart of Royal London. Along the way, travelers hear fascinating stories and amusing anecdotes about the Royal Family down through the centuries. The narration tells the stories behind the statues, buildings, and monuments that most visitors to London would simply pass by without knowing what they are or what connection they have with Britain's colorful royal past.
