RESIDENCE ON A CRUISE SHIP

World Yacht Club Members are making plans to move aboard Nautilus, a 360’, 365 passenger cruise ship in the Caribbean. Although small by cruise ship standards today, she has all the amenities you would expect on a small cruise ship including a dining room, theatre, several lounges and bars, library, gift and duty-free shops, casino, spa, pool, heliport, medical facility water sports equipment, and the latest in navigation and safety equipment.

The first few months will be spent in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Gulf of Mexico. They will then venture on a quest of locating delightful harbors and friendly communities throughout the world – all the time in pursuit of the best local seafood diner, antique shop, and fishing – shrimping holes, while teaching the grandkids to sail or the husband to play bridge.

Residents are from throughout the world, with most from North America and Europe. The median age is about 48. Life on a cruise ship is attractive to virtually everyone. A surprising number will be running a business from the ship aided by high-speed internet service and satellite phone service.

Costs for a full-time Ocean View Residence averages $150,000. Inside Units as low as $60,000. Limited Leases will be available “all inclusive” for approximately $3,000 per person, per month, double occupancy. Full-time professional medical staff is available. Most residents are purchasing a full-time residence, renting unneeded weeks in their unit. Fractional Interests of 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%, 4% and 2% of the year, are available. Marketing of available units is through the web site and, www.nwdir.com/cruiseshipcondos.htm and an extensive network of travel agents, and wholesalers.

A cooperative effort between the medical staff, dietitian, personal trainers, the spa and stewards will enable whole body profiling including a trim – tan body, increased aerobic capacity, lower PSA and improved energy and appearance.

Life aboard will be more like friends sharing a private yacht than a cruise ship. The itinerary promises a relaxed, flexible schedule to places of interest to residents. It includes scheduled weekend stops in areas served an international airport. Adjustments will be made for bad weather or good fishing.

CASTING CALL: An adventurous Reality TV Show with big prizes has been written around the ship and small islands we intend to visit. Participants will be selected from the residents on the ship.
