Define your passion, refine your skills and find your voice as a travel journalist

Join the NW Journalism Conference this September at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Ore. Taught by a faculty of Pulitzer Prize and other award-winning expert journalists, the 2005 conference offers an expanded curriculum of 16 skills-based courses, a keynote address with Newsweek Contributing Editor and "The McLaughlin Group" Panelist Eleanor Clift, a Writer's Resource Center with journalism award applications, and a Media Job Fair.

This is the Northwest's premier writer's conference, dedicated to the advancement of education and knowledge among freelance, staff and student journalists. It marks the first event for the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication's new George S. Turnbull Portland Center, it's first Portland j-school campus. Conference admission includes entrance to a 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, private reception at UO's new Turnbull Center.
